IMPHAL, Feb 11: The proscribed UNLF has in a press statement claimed that the bomb blast at Napet Palli bridge under Lamlai PS in Imphal East district on February 8 morning at around 6:50 in which three BSF personnel were injured, was caried out by its armed wing MPA.
The release said that the attack was carried out by a small team of MPA. Three personnel including an SI of 49 BSF were injured critically in the blast, it added.
The attacks will never stop until and unless Manipur regains its sovereignty, it said.
The release also appealed the people not to staged sit-ins against the bomb attacks instead to stage sit-ins to demand removal of security forces stationed in crowded places, near the schools, villages and other residential areas.
