IMPHAL, March 18: The All Manipur College Teachers`™ Association (AMCTA) has said that the cease work strike has been suspended till March 31 after members of the association held a conference with the Chief Minister and Education Minister at the Office Chamber of the CM on March 17 at 6.30 pm and had agreed to meet with the demands of the association.
According to a release of the association, an extended meeting was held on March 18 at 8.30 am at Manipur College where AMCTA has appealed to all teachers to give extra efforts to make up for lost time and take classes for the students.
The meeting was also taken part by senior citizens, retired college teachers and representatives of students.
AMCTA will allow works related with teaching and learning, however other course of action will not be changed, it said.
