IMPHAL, March 28: The KSO CDL and Maring Naga Literature Society (MNLS) has expressed gratitude to the State Government for approving the Maring Dialect in the School Syllabus upto Class VIII as a Subject in lieu of Major Indian Language (MIL).
According to a release of the MNLS, Chairman of MNLS, D. Korung and Secretary of MNLS, LS Dangsawa, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Maring Frontal Organization and Maring People towards the Chief Minister, O Ibobi, Education Minister, M. Okendro Singh and other Cabinet Ministers for approving the Maring Dialect in school syllabus upto class VIII which was the long awaited requisite of the Maring tribe on March 27, 2015 as a part of upholding the regional mother tongue subject.
Apart from expressing gratitude to MLA of 42 Tengnoupal A/C, D. Korungthang for his unflinching initiative in making the dream of the Maring people in reality, the Maring Naga Literature
Society (MNLS) also thanked the Director of Language Cell, Director of Education (S), Officers of Board of Secondary Education, Manipur and other Government machineries for extending their valuable assistance and support in getting the Maring Dialect approved for the School Syllabus, it said.
