IMPHAL, April 12: The All Manipur Working Journalists`™ Union, AMWJU, has adopted a strong resolution of debarring members of the Editors`™ Guild Manipur from joining the AMWJU during its special general body meeting convened at Manipur Press Club here today.
This was conveyed in a press release by Ratan Luwangcha, president (in-charge) of AMWJU.
It said the GBM resolved unanimously to not allow members of Editors`™ Guild Manipur to join AMWJU and ask Editors`™ Guild members who have been removed from the membership list of the union to apply fresh if they wish to join the union again.
It also resolved to leave discussion on complaints filed by Editors`™ Guild and editors to a new Standing Committee to be formed after the 2015-17 election of AMWJU, the release added.
