IMPHAL, April 5: Meira Paibi Lup of Lamadang Cherapur hauled up three youth found in possession of banned drug, SP Tablets and handed them over to the police after teaching them a lesson, a release said.
The action was part of a month long drive against alcohol and drugs in the area by the Meira Paibis, it said.
The youth held by the lup today were Athokpam Bokhan, 30, son of Iboton, Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai, Laisharm Romesh, 25, son of Deban, Heirok Part 2 Khunnou and Ningthoujam Karnajit, 25, son of Surchandra also Heirok Part 2 Khunou, the release said.
The three youth came in a Maruti 800 and were discovered with the banned substance when their vehicle was stopped by the Meira Paibis and checked, the release said.
