IMPHAL, May 22: In exercise of the Manipur (Hill Areas) District Councils Act 1971, Section 51 Clause (2) (i), Governor has ordered the Chairman of the Autonomous District Council concerned to continue to serve as the caretaker Chairman during the conduct and till the completion of the election and until further order whichever is earlier, said a press release issued by Principal Secretary (Tribal Affairs, Hills, SC).
The Deputy Commissioner concerned will now beone the joint signatories in place of the Chairman ADC concerned for all financial transaction of the Districts Councils where Chairman of the ADC is one of the joint signatories of the concerned bank account, it stated.
