IPSA condemns encroachment at Dzuko Valley

IMPHAL, May 20: The International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) has condemned the attempted encroachment of land areas at Dzuko valley and Kojuri by Southern Angami People`™s Organisation (SAPO) of Nagaland.

According to a release of IPSA, the association has inquired on the steps taken up by the Manipur and India governments on the issue of the Manipur`™s territorial integrity.

The IPSA has said that it will support the 24-hour general strike to be imposed from the midnight of May 22 to May 23 midnight by the Mao Council against the government`™s negligence on the issue.

It also appealed to the public to protect the territorial integrity of the State. The association has stated that during the strike, religious ceremonies and medical emergencies will be relaxed.
