IMPHAL, May 9: A Special General Conference of KCP-MC (Lanchenba) held at an undisclosed place has resolved to rename the outfit as KCP-MC (Liberation) to shoulder a bigger role in the fight for independence of Manipur.
A statement signed by Comrade Lanchen Meitei, Secretary Information & Publicity Military Affairs, KCP-MC said the conference which was held for three days also unanimously elected Comrade Ningthemchamayum Saiyonba and Comrade Chumthang Luwang as Chairman and General Secretary respectively of the renamed outfit.
The conference also discussed threadbare about the lack of coordination in the fight for independence for Manipur and how Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) degraded from its past glory, the statement stated.
