IMPHAL, May 5: At least one person was killed and five others suffered bullet injuries when unidentified persons opened fire indiscriminately on a group of people while they were taking out religious rituals for Nongpok Ningthou and Sekmai Ningthou Lai Haraoba at Laiching Ching situated in between Pallel and Aimol in Thoubal district today around 9 pm.
The deceased has been identified as Gopal, 32. However, identity of the four injured could not be ascertained till the time of filing this report.
