Press Release: Lean Startup Workshop 2 – toward Building Startup Eco-system in Manipur
Dynamic Manipur, Globizs Web Solutions and MIMS, MU join hand-in-hand to “Build up a Startup eco-system in Manipur” which can help in creating more number of successful entrepreneurs thereby solving the unemployment problems and bringing a sustainable economic solution. Lean Startup Workshop 2 will be conducted on May 30, 2015 at Hotel Yaiphaba, Imphal.
In the 21st Century, entrepreneurship is becoming a well recognized and promoted career option in many Nations because of its direct relation to the Social and Economic growth of the Society or the Nation. When entrepreneurship becomes the norms of today, there come the needs of introducing a validated process or system which can reduce the business risk of the startup entrepreneurs. Thus the StartUp Event came up to impart the knowledge of business validation to startup entrepreneurs as well as provide the validated business ideas for easy access to Investors.
For any startup event, Lean StartUp is the core methodology adopted for the validation process. Lean startup is a method for developing businesses and products first proposed in 2011 by Eric Ries. Ries’ overall claim is that if startups invest their time into iteratively building products or services to meet the needs of early customers, they can reduce the market risks and sidestep the need for large amounts of initial project funding and expensive product launches and failures.
Attending a startup event without prior knowledge of Lean Startup tends to have limited success from the perspective of the aspiring entrepreneurs and hence a prior introduction to this methodology is the key for any participants to maximize the benefits of attending a three days Startup event.
Dynamic Manipur with support from Globizs and MIMS, MU will be organizing Startup Events with the brand name as “Startup Dynamic, Manipur” in the month of July 2015 and January 2016. Attending the upcoming Startup events would be maximally benefited by the aspiring startup entrepreneurs should they have prior knowledge of Lean Startup methodology learnt from the experts who are already been using this method for their own business and being applied for their valuable startup clients.
Gautam Thockchom presently living in San Francisco, California having the professional expertise in Startup eco-system will be consistently advising the project team of Startup Dynamic, Manipur. He is CEO Zeenova Inc and Co-Founder and VP Eng and Strategy, Akasia Inc, a member of tielaunchpad.org and volunteer at TiE Silicon Valley since 2005. He was also a coach and judge of the Startup Weekend Imphal recently conducted at Imphal with Dynamic Manipur as co-organizing partner.
Hence, a first step toward the vision of “Build up a Startup eco-system in Manipur” of Dynamic Manipur, Globizs Web Solutions and MIMS, Manipur University is to impart the Lean Startup knowledge to the wannabe Startup entrepreneurs and give them an entry to Startup Dynamic, Manipur events.
Keeping these concepts in mind, Lean Startup Workshop 1 was conducted on March 29, 2015. Lean Startup Workshop 2 will be conducted on May 30, 2015.
