Thoubal, May 4: The village chief of Chaka Village and secretary Natural Resources Management Group (NaRM-G) of Aigejang Village under Chakpikarong Sub-Division in Chandel District have negated allegations that project manager of NERCOMP was mismanaging the implementation of the project in Chandel district.
A joint press statement signed by chief of Chaka, Jamkhosei Haokip and secretary NaRM-G, Aigejang Village, Thangkholal Haokip said that, the people of the project implementation area are concerned that the allegation made upon the project manager of NERCORMP III by some civil bodies in local dailies is baseless and unreasonable.
So far, the DST led by project manager Santala N. Runglo is found sincerely rendering their best services for implementing the NERCORMP III project successfully and there is no room for misuse of fund as alleged.
Moreover, it is also found that the DST Office is one of the most active and regular office in the district as far as their knowledge is concern, added the statement.
The village chief and secretary of NaRM-G also appealed in their joint statement to all concern civil bodies to extend co-operation and support to the DST for speedy implementation of the project in order to receive maximum benefits from the project by the poor villagers of the district.
