IMPHAL, May 10: The Green Zone, Imphal and Vegetable Nest, Lamjao jointly organized a one day workshop on `Enrichment of Organic Farming today at State Guest House Conferences Hall, Sanjenthong.
The workshop was attended by social worker Dr Radheshyam as chief guest and former Register of MU Dr RK Ranjan as president.
In the technical session of the function, Horticulture Department Officer K Devdutta Sharma spoke on the topic `Why Organic Farming in Manipur and Its Prospect in the State; while Promoter Organic Farming U Himat deliberated on the topic `Certificate system in Organic Farming`™.
Plant Health Clinic Kh Nilachand Singh talked on the topic `INM/Organic Pest Management and for Alternative to Agre`™.
Altogether 20 farmers of Vegetables Nest participated in the workshop.
