Placards inscribed with words like `Find out the Tata Sumo vehicle involved in knocking down Laishram Sanaton at the earliest`™, `Punish driver of the vehicle in accordance to law`™ etc were held at the protest demonstration which was organized by Modern Youth Club (MYC), Khangabok.

Meanwhile, the club, in a press release has resolved to ban Tata Sumo passenger service in Thoubal district if the vehicle involved in the fatal accident does not surrendered to the police within June 20.

It said that Sanaton could still be alive had driver of the vehicle admitted him to a nearby hospital for treatment on humanitarian ground immediately after hitting him.

The release urged the police department to trace the involved vehicle within June 20 failing which the club will resort to cease Tata Sumo service in Thoubal district.
