BJP felicitates its 21 newly elected ADC members

IMPHAL June 12: The 21 elected BJP Autonomous District Council members were warmly felicitated today at the party`™s Nityaipat Chuthek office in the presence of Union Minister of Chemical & Fertilizers, Ananth Kumar and BJP national executive member Tapir Gao.

At the onset of the function, the Union Minister congratulated the 21 newly elected ADC members of the party.

He said the party will be able to improve employment opportunities and expedite developmental progress through the newly elected members.

Ananth Kumar also denounced the Congress government as corrupt and at the same time, praised BJP leaders like Atal Behari Vajpayee, L K Advani and Narendra Modi.

He further stressed on the importance of promoting peace and development of the North Eastern Region while exalting the soldiers who were killed in an ambush in the State recently.

BJP, Manipur Pradesh president, Th Chaoba speaking to media persons on the sideline of the function said the party is overwhelmed by the response of the people of the hills.

He said much more than the success of the 21 candidates it is the proportion of votes that the party secured which has has proven the popularity of the party as well as encouraged its workers.

Now, the Congress`™s dominance will be reduced to only Sadar Hills, he said.

On the issue of the ongoing Army operation in the aftermath of the recent militant ambush on the Army, Choaba replied now that the excitement and commotion of the election is over, we will turn our focus and concern on the villagers there.
