IMPHAL, Jul 1: In protest against the transfer of Grade III and IV Muster Roll employees of Central Agriculture University (CAU) Iroishemba from one department to another on rotation basis, the Muster Roll employees staged a sit-in-protest today morning in front of the Academy Block of the university under Lamphel Police Station in Imphal West.
The protest demonstration was called off at around 12 noon following an agreement reached during a meeting between the disgruntled employees and Dean of the university Laishram Joykumar.
It may be mentioned that there are 117 Grade III and IV Muster Roll employees in CAU Iroishemba.
