IMPHAL, Jul 10: Due to the indefinite curfew clamped in Imphal West and Imphal East district from July 8 by District Magistrates of the districts in view of the prevailing volatile law and order situation in the districts following the death of a student in police action during a protest demonstration demanding enforcement of Inner Line Permit System in the state, normal proceedings of the courts was also affected.
Reports said deposition of prosecution witnesses in the murder case of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth to be held in the court of District & Sessions Judge/Manipur West at the complex of Uripok Cheirap Court today was deferred owing to the curfew imposition.
