AMCO and UNMM appeal for peace

IMPHAL, Aug 19: The All Manipur Christian Organisation has said in a pres released issued by its president S Prim Vaiphei that a joint meeting of AMCO and United NGOs Mission Manipur leaders was held at the residence of Rev. S Prim Vaiphei on August 18, 2015, 2:30pm and discussed the present situation of Moreh.

It said the members felt that the unwanted incident at Moreh occurred due to miscommunication among the people living in Moreh town.

The members also felt that incidents like the Moreh incident should not revoke communal tension of any kind, it said.

Communalizing a tiny issue in a small part of the State will not give any solution for the people, the statement continued.

Further according to the statement the members urged the timely intervention and guidance of the State government and all the civil bodies to bring the amicable solution, so that normal life will return to Moreh and peace, love, justice, tranquility and harmony will prevail among all sections of societies.

The members also urged all to stay calm and not to propagate rurnour in social net-working sites and other media outlets.
