IMPHAL, August 19: A joint meeting of Left Parties – CPI, CPI (M), Forward Block, RSP, CPI (ML) Liberation presided over by CPI Manipur State Secretary Dr. M Nara was held today at Irabat Bhavan, conveyed a joint statement of the Left Parties.
The meeting thoroughly discussed about the present prevailing situation in the State arising out of the ILPS movement and unfortunate incident that took place at Moreh town yesterday.
Observing that the Moreh incident had taken place due to misunderstanding between the two communities, the meeting also praised the government for timely intervention into the incident to foil any unwanted incident that could arise thereof.
The joint meeting further appealed to all communities to distant itself from hurling communal words against each other rather spread the message of love and peace for the sake of betterment of the State.
