IMPHAL, Aug 1: A team of District Police Commando Imphal West has conducted frisking and checking in front of Mahavir Pharmacy, Paona Bazar on July 30.
According to a release of the PRO, Police Department, an over ground worker of PLA/RPF was arrested during the frisking and checking.
The arrested worker was identified as Khadangbam Kala alias Kaka Meitei, 60, son of (l) Kh. Thanil Meitei of Kiyamgei Heibong Makhong Maning Leikai. Investigation revealed that he extorted money from Toll Tax association of Imphal West district for PLA/RPF organisation. Incriminating article was seized from his possession.
A case has been registered at City Police Station and investigation is going on, it said.
