MOREH, Aug 22: Two women based organisations of Moreh Nupi Khunai Chaokhat Lamjing Lup Moreh and the Kha Nongpok Apunba Nupi Lup Moreh have issued a joint statement stating that even as the public is still disgruntled by the silence of the 11 Assam Rifles during the August 18 violence, personnel of the 11 AR, Moreh have been searching not only the houses of those affected by the violence but even hotels and schools.
Questioning the conduct of the SFs, it charged that the August 18 incident could have been averted if the AR had acted swiftly.
It further appeals to all to help in bringing peace to Moreh.
