MU staff provides financial aid to RIMS helpline

IMPHAL, Aug 21: The teaching and non-teaching staffs of Manipur University along with students under the aegis of Manipur University Students`™ Union today visited Medical Team Helpline, RIMS to extend physical and financial assistance for the injured ILPS protesters and the family of Sapam Robinhood Family.

According to a statement, the Students`™ Union also visited Ananda Singh Higher Secondary School to extend moral support to students who have launched fast unto death stir in front of the school. Further it said the student body have been taking part in its capacity in the movement for the implementation of ILPS in the State.

In a press statement, the student body has expressed dissatisfaction on the part of the government insincerity to implement the much needed Bill despite students leaving their studies to join the movement and the present scenario in which citizens of several localities launching a fast unto death stir. The student body has also appealed to the State government to implement the people`™s Bill or ILP Bill at the earliest possible, it added.
