MOREH, August 12: Additional DC Moreh N Gojendro Singh today distributed relief material to families of different communities of Moreh at the office of the Meetei Council Moreh office.
The recent flood and landslides in the State had caused immense hardship for the residents of Moreh as the highway connecting Moreh to other parts of the district and Imphal was damaged.
The relief materials were released through funds from the DC Chandel through MLA D Korungthang. The MLA had also funded the charge for transformation of the relief materials.
Gojendro distributed altogether 105 bags of rice, 500 kg of dal, 105 bottles of mustard oil, 105 packets of salt, 50 bundles of match box, etc.
MLA Korungthang had also assured to provide 100 bags of rice as relief material for the town soon.
Meanwhile, the residents of Moreh town lauded the addl DC and the MLA for their effort.
