IMPHAL, Sept 2: BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Chaoba has called upon the people of the State to remain calm and restore peace and normalcy in the State.
Speaking to media persons in his office chamber, he said in the past few days, unfortunate and untoward incidents which were not expected from the people of the State occured.
Atleast eight lives have been lost, one in Imphal and seven in Churachandpur, he said.
Residences of several MLAs and ministers have also been torched in the aftermath of the passing of the three bills by the State Assembly, he continued.
Every problem could be solved with negotiation, he said.
Chaoba also appealed to every community to restrain themselves and maintain peace and tranquillity.
