Chandel, September 14: Even as the 12 hour bandh called by Committee on Protection of Tribals Rights Chandel District (CoPoTR) along Pallel Moreh road, demanding withdrawal of the government notification for re-electing the Chandel ADC Chairman, ended without any unwanted incidents the committee has decided to shut down all govt offices in the district including mini secretariat with immediate effect.
This was announced by the committee`™s chairman Wng Victor Kohring while speaking to newspersons after a consultative meeting held today.
Victor said that the dercicison was taken in a meeting as the government had failed to withdraw the notification instead conducted the election of ADC chairperson in Imphal.
He condemned the sitting saying it is not acceptable.
While conveying the home coming of the ADC members that was discussed during the meeting, Kohring informed that all govt offices in the district including district mini secretariat will be shut down by volunteersexcept for the office of the ADC Chandel.
