MOREH, Sept 18: The government Assessment Committee conducted a spot verification of damages incurred during the August 18 riot in Moreh.
The verification of damaged shops, houses, office among others was conducted following the announcement of the government to provide compensation to the victims. It was started since yesterday.
The government committee include Addl DC Moreh N Gojendro, EE Chandel division P Mani, Inspector Transport N Lalitkumar, MSPDC Moreh division manager Letkhogin Haokip, DSO Hamid and other officials. This morning officials of PWD also inspected damages and conducted a spot inquiry.
