IMPHAL, Sept 22: Based on reliable information, a team of District Police Commando, Imphal East conducted frisking and checking in front of Hatta Oil Pump yesterday and arrested a man for unauthorised possession of arms and ammunition, said a press release of PRO Police Department.
The arrested man is identified as Md Zamshed Ahamad, 42 son of Late Asraf Ali of Lilong Turel Ahanbi but presently staying at Hatta Mana Ingkhol.
One M-20 pistol loaded with two live rounds and other incriminating articles were seized from his possession. A case has been registered at Porompat Police Station and investigation is going on, added the release.
