BISHNUPUR, Oct 23: As part of the fortnight long Barrier Free Campaign ‘Break Barriers, minimise disabilities’ being conducted from October 17 to 31, the Handicapped Development (HD) Foundation Manipur, D-CACUS Education Centre Ningthoukhong and State Commission for Persons with Disabilities jointly conducted a programme today.
The programme was conducted at the Ningthoukhong Public Park.
The function was attended by Ningthoukhong Municipal Council chairperson RK Bimola Devi as chief guest, retd assistant teacher Ningthoukhong High Schoo A Ibobi as guest of honour and national awardee L Dijwamani Singh as president.
Speaking on the occasion, Bimola said the condition of the differently abled persons in Manipur is heartrending.
They have received no help from the government, she said.
