IMPHAL, Oct 1: The JAC of AMTUC AMGEO has said the Chief Minister`™s Secretariat had informed its president, secretary general on September 26 to have discussion on its 28 Point Charter of Demands following which, the president Dr M Rajendra Singh and secretary general, Purujit Lairikyengbam alongwith some office bearers had a thorough discussion on the demands.
A statement of the JAC said the Chief Minister pointed out about the financial crunch deduction of fund by the Centre from the current financial year 2015-16 in many sectors of centrally sponsored, central and state share and problem of fiscal deficit if the State government allots whole amount of DA/DR of the employees/pensioners. He also expressed about the government`™s inability to furnish utilization certificates, it said.
After a long and hectic discussion, the Chief Minister lastly accepted to clear the two doses of DA/DR of 17% wef October, 2015 and one more DA dose of 6% from April 2016, it said.
The JAC accepted unwillingly with the approach to clear some more important demands concerning about Casual/Muster Rolls/Work charged/contract employees etc. and its position and improvement to bring into regularization, Modified ACP along-with the enhancement of Fixed Medical Allowance for the pensioners from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 500/- per month and other remaining demands etc. it said.
Lastly, the JAC urged to consider all the remaining demands to clear within 3 /4 months. The discussion was ended with the Chief Minister`™s assurance to place the points before the Cabinet meeting which had to be held on the September 28, it said.
