KIM General Assembly and Election postpone, defy divide and rule policy

KANGPOKPI, October 16: The proposed general assembly of Kuki Inpi Manipur on October 17 at Kuki Inn, Imphal has been postponed for indefinite periods during its cabinet meeting today while the Election Commission had earlier postponed the KIM election, which was schedule on the same date and venue.

KIM general secretary Khaimang Chongloi said that with the postponement of KIM Election by Election Commission of Kuki Inpi Manipur due to the prevailing law and order situation in the State particularly in Churachandpur district and Kuki inhabited areas, the apex body today at its cabinet meeting decided to indefinitely postpone the General Assembly too.

He continued that until our nine martyrs who sacrifice their precious life for the cause of protecting our land and rights are laid to rest accordingly and the unresolved three infamous bills settled harmoniously KIM General Assembly and Election will not be held.

Khaimang Chongloi also said that KIM strongly defy the divide and rule policy on the part of Government and non-Governmental organizations while urging everyone to eschewed bad-mouthing and unfair criticism on electronics, print and social media according to Haipi Declaration.
