Several works of various art forms were displayed in the gallery for the visiting art lovers.

Ch Premananda Roy said, `Unlike performing arts, this form of art cannot sustain on repeating the same art.`

It requires the artist to continuously expand their creativity and continue to explore new ways of exhibition experiences, ideology, illusions and rhetoric, he said.

`Only such originality of style and perfection marks the success of Artists.`

He added, `It is encouraging to see enthusiastic young artists from our State making progressive advancement in this field and we need to support such efforts.`

According to the secretary of Neo-Gene, the collective was formed in 1998 with the initiative of 10 members who had the vision of promoting local artists.

`Several Art exhibitions have been held in the past 17 years on various themes including one on `The Spirit of Sharmila`™` he said.
