IMPHAL, Oct 23: Based on a reliable information, a combined team of District Police Commando Bishnupur and a column of 6th Assam Rifles conducted search operation at Moirang Lamkhai area on October 22, said a PRO Police statement.
It said during the search operation, one member of KCP (Lanheiba) group, namely, Angom Santa Singh (31) son of A Khomei Singh of Phayeng Ching Khunou was arrested from Churchandpur parking.
One 9 mm pistol along with 03 (three) live rounds of 9mm ammunition were seized from his possession, it said.
A case has been registered at Moirang Police Station and investigation is going on, it said.
