IMPHAL, November 7: A three-day long mission field conference of Komrem Baptist Churches Association commenced at Tonsen Baptist Church Chandel on November 6.
Speaking on the second day of the conference which was held under the theme “Growing in Christ”, B Momsokam, president of IMSCOM appealed the gathering to keep intact the love and brotherhood existing between the different communities settling in the state since time immemorial. This will ultimately bring about peace and development in the state.
The conference which would be held till November 8 is being participated by over 30 different field missions including one from Tripura. With KT Hari Anal, ADC member, Wangkheirak constituency, Chandel as chief guest, the function was also attended by reverend Dr Shyamo Sarangthem and All Manipur Christian Organisation president reverend S Prim Vaiphei.
As part of the conference, group song competitions, Bible recitation competition, choreography competition and Bible quiz programmes is being organised.
The closing function of the conference which will be held on November 8 will be graced by DIC Chandel general manager LT Kom and retired ZEO ST Kom as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
