IMPHAL, Nov 4: Troops of the 22 Assam Rifles of 28 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) launched an operation in general area of Kakching Bazar and apprehended one KYKL (MDF) cadre on November 3, according to a press release of the PRO IGAR (S).
It identified the apprehendee as No 772, s/s Pvt Moirangthem Govin Singh alias Khaba, 29 son of Moirangthem Ibotombi Singh, of Langathel Ingkhol Mamang Leikai, Thoubal district.
The release claimed that Govin (Batch No 30) joined the KYKL (MDF) on October 27, 2008. One Extortion Demand letter was recovered from his possession.
The apprehendee was handed over to the Kakching Police Station, it added.
