IMPHAL, Nov 28: 24 Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) apprehended a man with seizure of 35 packets of WY Tablet containing 7020 tablets in total from a Maruti van at Khudengthabi Check Post on November 26.
According to sources, the tablets were kept in polythene covers, concealed under the rear seat of the Maruti Van bearing registration no DL 09 CY 2898. The approximate cost of the seized tablets in market is around Rs 70, 20, 000.
The arrested man has been identified as Paojangam Khongsai, 42 son of Late Sonkholet Khongsai of Makokching under Saikul Police Station, Senapati district.
He has been handed over to Moreh Police Station, it said.
