BISHNUPUR, Nov 12: Integrated Women`™s Development Organization (IWODO) disposed around 50 litres of local made liquor by setting on fire in public view at Ningthoukhong Khongnangkhong, Bishnupur district this morning around 7.
The liquor was seized from Ningthoukhong area during drive conducted by volunteers of the organization.
The 50 liters of liquor were seized from Khwairakpam Tangba, 70 son of Late Tampha of Ningthoukhong Ward No 3; Laishram Rohitkanta alias Pepet, 30 son of Late Jugeshwar of Ningthoukhong Ward No 3; Khundrakpam Bilat, 70 son of Late Chaobal of Ningthoukhong Ward No 3; Thokchom Leibaklei Devi, 47 wife of Late Binku of Ningthoukhong Ward No 2; Thokchom Shanti Devi, 50 wife of Iboyai of Ningthoukhong Ward No 8 and Moirangthem Ibemnungshi Devi, 50 wife of Late Loken of Ningthoukhong Ward No 8.
It is said that the seized liquor was prepared in Ningthoukhong Shantipur Ward No 1 and No 2 areas.
