IMPHAL, Nov 23: In order to ensure smooth counting of votes of the bye-election due to be held tomorrow, the election office Imphal West detailed new security measures for the day in the office complex of the deputy commissioner of the district, where the counting is going to be held.
In an order, it said that the office complex of the DC Imphal West will allow entry of individuals authorised by the office only which included officers, officials, candidates, election agents and counting agents etc.
It said that there shall be only one counting agents per counting of the concerned counting hall along with one more agent for RO to attend to the counting of postal ballot paper for each contesting candidates inside the office complex at any point of time.
For entry into the complex only the southern gate shall be used for entry and exit of the authorised persons while vehicles including officers and officials shall be parked at the South-Eastern side of the office complex.
