IMPHAL, Dec 1: The Superannuation period of the Manipur Police, Sahid Ahmad, IPS, as Director General of Police (DGP), has been extended for another one month today.
According to official sources from the Police Head quarter, the service extension order was issued today by, Subas, deputy secretary-Department of Personnel (DP), Government of Manipur.
He will reassume his post as DGP from December 1 till December 31.
It may be recalled that Sahid Ahmad, IPS Tripura cadre 1997 took the charge of DGP Manipur from his predecessor M.K Das, on December 1, 2013. His service period expired yesterday.
The senior most IPS officer who could likely take the charge from him, after is retirement is Malana Goud, IPS followed by LM Khoute, IPS.
