The press release has stated that the books are published with the vision of folktales plot which are generally concerned with life’s universal themes, and which are transcended on the culture of origin to reveal the commonality of human experience.
This ancient form of narrative communication for both educational and entertainment, not only offers a window into other cultures, but also can be a revealing mirror of the comedy and pathos of our lives. Although folktales are imaginative narratives, they are shelved in the non-fiction area of social sciences. Ironically, these tales are “true” not because they actually happened but because these are often a bit of “truth” or wisdom embedded in them. Folktales offer profound insights into the cultures from which they come. So far 12 illustrated folktales books have been published by NE Brothers Entertainments Pvt. Ltd under the Nanao Fungga Wari Series, said the press release.
