IMPHAL, Dec 4: The Manipur University Students’ Union (MUSU) election which was scheduled to be held on December 4 has been re-scheduled to December 5 at the Social Science Old Block of the Manipur University.
It is learnt that the Election was rescheduled flowing resignation tendered by the returning officer (RO).
Further the sources informed that the RO submitted his resignation letter to the election committee yesterday as complaint was reportedly lodged by two candidates against the RO for allegedly favouring some candidates on the fray.
Latter a meeting was held between leaders of various students bodies along with their advisors wherein it was agreed to withdraw the complaint besides conducting free and fair election.
Subsequent upon the agreement the election was rescheduled.
