IMPHAL, Dec 4: A combined team of the District Police Commando, Imphal West and 12 Bihar Regiment conducted a cordon and search operation on December 3 at Konthoujam Maning Leikai, said a PRO Police statement.
It said during the operation, all local residents were called out near the public pond of Konthoujam Maning Leikai for verification and arrested one s/s sergeant of NSCN (K) namely Ponthanglung panmei, 49, son of Langai Panmei of Noney Part I at present Konthoujam Maning Kabui Khun.
A case has been registered at Patsoi Policce Station and investigation is going on.
