Student body demands clarification from RIMS on question paper leakage issue

IMPHAL, December 17: Following the controversy surrounding, the December 12 written test for recruitment of 116 staff nurses of the RIMS, the Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Sinpanglup has demanded a clarification from the hospital authorities.

A day after the written test was held, a group of candidates had demanded investigation accusing of question leakage of the written test.

Speaking to media persons today at their Kwakeithel office, AIMS vice president Rajesh Yumnam said the student body will gherao the RIMS A Block and the RIMS Nursing College, if the hospital authorities fail to give proper clarification on the issue at the earliest.

He charged the RIMS authority of leaking the Question Paper and also questioned as to why the Chief Nurse was not included as a board member of the selection committee.

He said although the authorities had been warned not to conduct the Viva Voce of the successful candidates until the authorities give a proper clarification to the question leakage allegations, they went on with the Viva Voce starting from December 15.

If in case the RIMS authority declares the result before clarifying on the issue, the student body will have no other choice other than storming the RIMS A Block and Nursing College, he said.
