IMPHAL, Dec 2: Students’ Union of Mission Blind School, Heikakpokpi, Chandel district with support of general public will launch total bandh on National Highway-102 (Imphal-Moreh road) from December 16 midnight to December 21 in protest against the government’s failure to upgrade the mission blind school to a full-fledged one.
Declaring the call in a press release, the Student’s Union reiterated that authority and representatives of the union met with the Education Minister at his office chamber with MLA 42-Tengnoupal Constituency on May 4 last regarding the process of file for Cabinet sitting for full-fledged upgradation of the mission blind school but no concrete step has been taken up so far to do the needful.
