IMPHAL, Dec 8: The Zeliangrong Union (Assam, Manipur and Nagaland) earnestly appealed the JCILPS to exempt the proposed agitations to be launch from December 16 in view of the upcoming ‘Christmas’ and ‘Gaan-Ngai’.
In a statement, K Poushinglung, executive secretary, ZU (AMN), stated that with the festival round the corner shoppers from various parts of the hills districts had started to come for marketing in Imphal.
To ensure free movement and foster goodwill among various ethnic groups during the festivals, it further drew the attention of the JCILPS to exempt the agitation during the Christmas and Gaan-Ngai festivals.
