IMPHAL, January 8: BJP Manipur Pradesh president Th Choaba today alleged that the Congress government in the State is providing the old age pension schemes to people who are still young and to some who have recently retired from service instead of providing it to the old aged people who have no one to support them.
He was speaking at a public meeting held at the Heirok part II in connection with the heirok Nagar Panchayat Election 2016. The meeting was organised by the BJP Heirok mandal.
If the BJP comes to power in the State, he said the party will stop all such wrongdoings.
He said the time of the Congress is coming to an end in the State.
He further claimed that several Congress MLAs are today waiting outside the BJP’s door.
Claiming that killing of innocents, recovery of numerous human skulls during digging were all during the rule of the Congress government, he said the buildings which collapsed during the January 4 earthquake were also mostly constructed by the Congress.
He further continued that the Simplex Company which had constructed the Ima keikthel is a company established by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and that his stooges had constructed the market.
He also demanded that those involved in the construction of the market be punished.
