CM assures all assistance to Ramkrishna Mission Society

IMPHAL, January 20: Maintaining that IT sector is one the sectors which the government is focussing with utmost importance for generating jobs for unemployed youths of the State, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh assured all possible assistance from the government to Ramkrishna Mission Society to facilitate quality education.

The CM made the assertions while laying foundation stone for building of Institute of Human Excellence under Ramkrishna Mission at the former compound of Bengali High School at Babupara today.

Speaking at the function, Ibobi envisaged that the institute will help in accelerating growth of the sectors mainly IT besides providing advance learning to young students of the State.

Setting up of a Ramkrsihna Mission centre in the State was a long cherished dream of the government which has now been materialized though some time had been taken to do so, he said.

The CM further said that Manipur is just like a mini India where various ethnic communities co-exist in harmony.

‘’We are all citizens of this vast country, who believe in secularism and abiding by it,” he stated.

Applauding the institutes under Ramkrishna Mission for providing quality education to students irrespective of caste and religion, Ibobi expressed desire for setting up more centres of the mission in other parts of the State as well.

He also expressed satisfaction on inclusion of sports as one of the curriculums of the ambitious institute.

During the function, CM Ibobi along with general secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math, Howrah, West Bengal Swami Suhitanandaji Maharaj inaugurated a quarter for accommodating monks at the centre campus.

Education Minister Moirangthem Okendro who graced the occasion as guest of honour exuded confidence that the institute will immensely help in boosting quality education in the State.

He asserted that students should possess the knowledge of material and spiritual besides getting education as this will lead them to success in life.

The foundation stone laying function was also attended by Secretary Education H Dilip; officials of Education Department and several Manipuri students who passed out from Ramkrishna Mission.

It may be mentioned that Commerce & Industries and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry & Sericulture Minister Govindas Konthoujam was supposed to attend the ceremony but did not turn up.
