IMPHAL, January 5: The demand to dismiss Superintendent Engineer of PWD N Subash and allegation of lack of controlling in quality during the construction of Keithel under his supervision by some women vendors of Khwairamband Ima Keithel was a baseless.
This was expressed by Subash’s brother Prof Dr N Jitendra of JIMS during a press conference held at Manipur Press Club today.
He said that the state PWD neither his brother had hands in constructing the buildings of Khwairamband Keithel, and added that as representative of the government his brother visited Ima Keithel damaged by January 4 tremor.
Jetendra continued that visiting the site by his brother did not mean that he was the only responsible person for the construction but to inspect the site.
He further said that the entire construction works was carried out by Simplex Pvt Ltd funded by the National Building Construction Company Limited (NBSS). He also condemned the dragging of a wrong person into such subjects.
