IMPHAL, January 25: United National Liberation Front leader RK Meghen alias Sanayaima and two of his accomplices were examined by the NIA Special Court, Guwahati in connection with the chargesheet framed by the agency in the year 2010.
The two others are Joyjao alias Nongyai and Dilip alias Mani. Both are under judicial custody along with Meghen.
The examination of the accused which commenced on January 7 concluded today.
It may be mentioned that case registered against the UNLF chief and his accomplices is NIA Case no 1 of 2010 u/s 121/121-A/120-B IPC, 16/A, 18/20 Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Avt, 2004.
18 individuals including RK Meghen have been examined in the case. The 18 also include two women, whereas three of them including a woman are out on bail at present. The remaining 15 are presently lodged in judicial custody.
Cross examination of the accused by the prosecution will start from next month.
