AISF alleges unfair conduct of class XII exam in Heirok centre

IMPHAL, February 26: Despite the Education department’s measures to conduct the class XII examination in a fair manner including installation of CCTV cameras, several malpractices were witnessed in several centres of the examination, claimed the All India Students Federation today.

Speaking to media persons today at a press conference held at their office, State secretary Sampras Heikham highlighted that the student body has found irregular practices at some examination centres.

During an inspection of centres in the Education minister’s constituency, a team of the AISF found that most of the invigilators in most exam centres were outside while the students inside were given a free go, he claimed.

He stressed that in Heirok Higher Secondary School, the team found a mobile phone from a student giving his exam during the end of the exam duration; however, left him considering the student’s career and as the team was unaware of whether the student had used the phone to cheat.

Their flying scout five members authorized by the Education department for both the class X and XII examinations, he said.

He stated that they investigated CC Higher Secondary School, Imphal; TS Paul Women College, Mongsangei; Emanuel English Higher Secondary, Yaingangpokpi; Heirok Higher Secondary, Heirok.
