IMPHAL, Feb 15: Proscribed outfit Revolutionary People’s Front has claimed in a statement that a special warfare team of its PLA had carried out the attack on a convoy of the Assam Rifles at 5:30pm on February 14 near KBS Oil Pump at Hundung Junction in Ukhrul district.
It claimed that in the attack using explosives, a vehicle of the 41 AR suffered major damage and some personnel travelling in the vehicle were also injured.
The statement further claimed that the attack was organised by the Chief of Army Staff from its War Office.
Meanwhile, the Manipur Naga People’s Front has claimed the bomb blast directed towards a convoy of the 41 Assam Rifles around 11:20am on February 14 along the road connecting Litan to Lungfung.
A statement of the outfit claimed that a truck of the AR was damaged in the attack and AR personnel were injured.
