IMPHAL, Feb 4: The Joint Administrative Council of the All Manipur trade Unions’ Council and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation has said that a general council meeting was convened recently.
During the meeting several demands were discussed and approved for submission to the State government, it said.
According to a statement of the JAC, the demands include demanding regularisation of the master roll, work-charge and casual employee staff of the State government; regularisation of the contractual employees of GAD, MIS, Economics & Statistics, NRHM, MACS, RNTCP, Forest, Social Welfare; re-employment on regular basis of those contractual employees of the Manipur Legislative Assembly who have been removed; provision of Children Education Allowance in the State; restructure the pay anomalies, Rs 500 as medical allowance for pensioners and to provide medical reimbursement for pensioners; increase the ration money of the IRB, MP and MR to Rs 2,500, settle the issues surrounding die-in-harness scheme; 7th Central pay in the State among others.
